Calvary’s Sunday School provides classes for all ages of God’s Children.

Through our Sunday School Program we seek to discover more about our faith and about:

 God, the Creator; Jesus Christ, The Savior; And

The Holy Spirit, The Comforter
Text Box: The following classes are available for Children and Youth                         Nursery -                          3 years old and younger                       Kindergarten -                Ages 4 and 5                       Grades 1 and 2                       Grades 3 and 4                       Grades 5 and 6                       Youth -                              Middle and High School ages   All of the above classes meet from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Sunday Morning Text Box: For Adults, there is a choice of 6 classes to suite individual interests. Text Box: Calvary Ladies Bible Class: This is a small group experience examining the Scriptures using the International Bible Study and learning how to apply the words to our daily living. The Ladies Class meets in the parlor. Text Box: Calvary Men's Bible Class: The Men's Bible Class has been in existence since the beginning of the Church. The purpose of the class is to discuss the International Bible Study lessons and exchange ideas and views on the material presented. We emphasize open discussion and those who serve as teachers avoid lectures! We are composed of men who are married and single, interested in promoting the word of Christ. We meet a section of the Apostiles Room. Text Box: Wesley Fellowship Class: This class gathers in the Apostles Room in a circle near the stage following the 15 minute Sunday School opening which is held in the Apostles Room. Members are made up of long and short term members, couples and singles. Most are retirement age or above, however persons of any age are welcome to join. Our lessons are from the "Adult bible Studies" or whatever the person that is teaching wishes to use. Numerous members of the class take turns teaching. Text Box: Generations Class: This class got it's name from the fact that the class has members from several generations (parents and their adult children). Anyone is welcome. We have recent post High School graduates through those that are retired. It is truly a span of generations. The study material is selected by a class officer and approved by the class. In 2008, the first study was  on the Book of Proverbs. Members take turns teaching or finding a teacher. Most lessons are in discussion format. The class also holds socials and service projects. Come and join us. We meet in the overflow section of the Sanctuary.

Text Box: Possibilities Class: The Possibilities Class, welcome to all ages, is an intergenerational class that meets in the room beside the Church Library. This study group is a discussion-based class that focuses on growing in the Christian Faith. The experiences shared by class members are prompted through questions from the thematic study guides chosen by the class. All are welcome to share either in listening or participating in discussion. Text Box: Good News Class: The Good News Class is made up of both singles and couples with most members being in their 30’s and 40’s. We do not do traditional Bible Studies but instead select study books that we feel help us in our daily lives to be better Christians. A favorite author is James Moore, whose life application books combine humor and Biblical reference. As a class we host the Pentecost Breakfast and support charities such as the Children’s Home in Mechanicsburg. The Class meets in the Library, behind the Apostles Room. Text Box: All of our Adult Sunday School Classes meet in the Apostles Room for a 15 minute Opening and Announcement Time. Also, when there are five Sundays in a month, the Adult Sunday School Classes meet in the Apostles Room for a special presentation, usually on that focuses upon Missions.
