The Fall Season is upon us! A season that brings with it many new beginnings. We ask you to lift up in prayers all of our students and teachers including our own Calvary Preschool. We thank God for the gift and the joy or learning.
As part of our learning for us all, I invite each of us to take this opportunity to become a part of our Sunday School Program. I thank all of our teachers, leaders, and participants. What a joyous and challenging opportunity to gather at 9 AM on Sunday morning to discover more about God and our relationship with Him
There is nothing more important that we could do to strengthen our families, our Church, our community and our world than to actually be involved in the worship, study and mission opportunities that your church provides. I hope and pray if you have been missing Church and/or Sunday School you’ll take the opportunity of the season to become active once again.
To remind us how important this is, we have set Sunday September 26th as Rally Day! We will have a very special Sunday School Program at 9 AM featuring puppets Harvey and Sam. Our worship service will encourage us to renew our commitment to Christ. Following our morning services and Sunday School program we’ll gather at Cousler Park for a Church picnic. We hope all of you will try to be a part of this special celebration.
During this month we will also begin our Fall “Wednesday Evenings with God” starting on September 22nd. These will be held at 7 PM and will have a video Bible Study for our youth and adults on the Life of Jesus and activities for the children in one of our classrooms.
We celebrate the gift of God’s love for us. Even in the midst of all that is changing around us, we are grateful for the unchanging love of God for all His creation.
In Psalm 19, the Psalmist writes “How clearly the sky reveals God’s glory! How plainly it shows what he has done! Each day announces it to the following day; each night repeats it to the next.” God’s creation is awesome. What we do, God forgive, isn’t always good. But God and God’s glorious creation is!
As we watch Fall reveal all the marvelous tapestry of color in the leaves, may this colorful unfolding remind us of God’s colorful love for each one of us–-regardless of what we are facing in life.
As we were reminded in our Vacation Bible School this summer, let us continue this journey of life into this Fall season by daily praising our wonderful, incredible, amazing, magnificent, awesome God.
See you at Church! In Christ’s Love,
Pastor Bob |
