Text Box: Calvary Youth Ministry Our Youth Ministry program seeks to help youth share their gifts, grow in life skills, develop a positive self-image, overcome prejudices, develop respect for differences, serve those in need, participate in worship, develop a personal spirituality and prayer life, apply faith to daily life, integrate moral values, and develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. All youth in sixth through twelfth grades are invited to participate in planned activities. Bring a friend… they are always welcome!

WHAT’S HAPPENING?

 

Welcome back to another year of Youth Fellowship Activities. We will kick off the fall with a youth and  family ice cream night with games, planning and of  course ice cream sundaes.  This event is on Sunday August 29 from 6 to 8 pm at Craig and Melissa Jacoby’s house.  September brings fair parking with a time slot for youth on Sunday, Sept 12 after church.  If you cannot help that afternoon see Karl Jacoby for a time that fits your schedule.  Rally Day and the church picnic will be held on Sept 26.  Following is a list of planned activities so far.

               

Sunday, August 29              Youth/Family ice cream night at the Jacoby’s

                                                            6- 8 pm

Sunday, September 12      Youth Fair Parking–Stay after church (pizza                                       provided) and Park cars.

Sunday. September 19      Tentative mini golf (time to be determined)

Sunday, September 26      Rally Day at 9 am at Church--Church Picnic at 12                                  noon at Cousler Park

Sunday, October 10           Crop Walk

Sunday, October 31           York Halloween Parade--Volunteers needed for                                  food stand to benefit Children and Youth                                  Departments

Sunday, November 21       No Meeting                      

Sunday, November 28       Hanging of the Greens            

Sunday, December 5         Teddy Bear Sunday/ Activity

Sunday, December 12       Christmas Caroling

NEEDED: COLLEGE ADDRESSES :We  again needing the addresses of our Youth who are in college this year. If you have someone attending a higher education school, please see that we get their mailing address so we can keep in touch with them.  We would also like to have updates on anyone in the service. If you have such information please contact the church office.
