Text Box: Calvary Youth Ministry Our Youth Ministry program seeks to help youth share their gifts, grow in life skills, develop a positive self-image, overcome prejudices, develop respect for differences, serve those in need, participate in worship, develop a personal spirituality and prayer life, apply faith to daily life, integrate moral values, and develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. All youth in sixth through twelfth grades are invited to participate in planned activities. Bring a friend… they are always welcome!

TEEN DVD SELECTION  This movie tells the story of a 13-year-old girl (Anna Paquin) who goes to live with her estranged, eccentric father (Jeff Daniels) following the death of her mother. At first she's withdrawn , but finds renewed happiness when she adopts an orphaned flock of baby geese and, later, teaches them to migrate using an ultralight  The movie has flying sequences that are astonishing, and Daniels and Paquin make a great father-daughter team.  Available in DVD and Blu Ray.  Rated PG for the opening accident scene and some mild language.

WHAT’S HAPPENING?

So far this year the Youth have had a very busy schedule., we had our Mystery dinner in January; in February we had our Youth/Blanket+ Sunday and now its time to prepare for Easter Sunrise Service. We hope all the youth will turn out and take part. Our schedule for March is:

 

                      March 14 – Game night 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

                      March 21, 6:30 - 8:00  and March 28, 6:00 - 8:00  practice for

                                 Sunrise  Service

                      April 4—Easter Sunrise Service 7 am (Youth arrive at Church at 6:30 am)

                      April 11—To Be Planned

                      April  18—Earth Day (Church cleanup project til 3 pm, lunch provided)

                      April 25—To Be Planned

 

Looking ahead into April, Easter Sunrise service will be at 7:00 a.m. on April 4 and on April 18th we will celebrate Earth Day (We will clean up around the church and mulch until 3 p.m.  Lunch will be provided) tentative.. April 11th and 25th are still in the planning stages.

 

NEEDED: COLLEGE ADDRESSES

 

We are again needing the addresses of our Youth who are in college this year. If you have someone attending a higher education school, please see that we get their mailing address so we can keep in touch with them.  We would also like to have updates on anyone in the service. If you have such information please contact the church office.
