UNITED METHODIST WOMEN

 

Wow!! What a super rummage and soup sale.

     We wish to thank everyone who helped to unpack, fold and mark all the items that we received.  Also to everyone who helped clean, brush and cut the corn off of 50 dozen ears of corn.

     It takes everyone working together to make our sales a success.

 

The following is our report as of 8/15.

     Rummage Sale       $ 2733.89

     Soup Sale                      732.02

     Total                             3465.91

   FALL RUMMAGE SALE     

Our Fall Rummage Sale will be October 1^st and 2^nd .  Items for the sale may be brought to the Church and placed in the fellowship hall beginning Monday September 27^th as we do not have room to

store goods at the church. 

We accept clothing for this sale.

      If you can help to mark, fold and hang up donations please contact Ginny or Hattie.

      We will also need baked goods for this sale.

 

FALL SOUP SALE   

      We will also be making Chicken Corn Soup for October 1^st and 2^nd, 2010. The cost is $5.00 a quart.

      Order sign-up sheets will be available September 5th with the absolute deadline for orders being September 20^th.  Sorry no orders will be taken after the September 20 deadline.

             The Sign-up sheets will be at the Information Center and in the Narthex of the Church.

 

SEPTEMBER UMW MEETING

Our UMW meeting for September will be on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 1:00 pm.

Our program will be on the Global Ministries.

All women are invited to attend this meeting and share what

United Methodist Women is all about.  If you need transportation

 to attend let Joan or Hattie know.

 

YORK DISTRICT UMW MEETING

The York District UMW Annual Meeting will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2010

at Grace UM Church in Hanover.

If you would like to attend let Hattie know by September 5 as deadline to register is September 10.

 

Our Bazaar time is fast approaching.  The date is November 5 & 6.

Start now making your crafts, and volunteering to help where 

ever you would like to help.

Talk to Joan or Hattie if you would like to volunteer some time.

We will have a list of all the Chairpersons in our next newsletter.

NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER

 

We collect paper donations for Neighborhood Center:

Paper Towels,         Toilet paper,

7 oz. paper drink cups,

Small (dessert size) paper plates,

large (meal size) paper plates or

plastic bowls (no styrofoam),

Plastic forks & spoons,

Gallon food storage bags
